The images at left are part of a conceptual clothing project I worked on as an intern at the Vito Acconci Studio in Brooklyn. The proposition formulated by the Acconci Studio was to “research clothes that transform and adapt to different needs within the same day on different bodies. Clothes that reveal as they wrap. Altered ready-mades where the idea of the industrial meets the idiosyncratic. Twist, warp, cut, wrap rather than tailor: bind rather than sew, the accessory meets the garment; the garment absorbs the accessory.”
